Ambulance Director
Faulkton Area Medical Center, in partnership with Faulk County, are in search of applicants to fill the role of Ambulance Director. The Faulk County Ambulance is owned by Faulk County and managed by Faulkton Area Medical Center. The Ambulance Director will serve in an advisory role alongside the EVOC Director to the Ambulance Medical Director, FAMC Administrator, and the Faulk County Commissioners. This position is salaried at $19,000/year requiring a varied schedule.
Individual must be able to perform tasks independently with little to no supervision and demonstrate excellent organizational leadership and management skills. Current certification as Paramedic or EMT or licensure as RN or LPN is preferred. Prior ambulance experience is required.
All offers of employment will be conditional pending results of criminal background checks and a drug screening.
Responsibilities
Essential duties include, but not limited to: Oversees recruitment, training, and certification of EMS personnel; Management over supervisory and non-supervisory team members; Responsible for creation and management of policies, stocking supplies, and over medical management of ambulance services; Completion of required paperwork for county and state billing and reporting practices; Administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the functions, activities, and training of the ambulance staff; Ensures adequate staff coverage on a weekly basis; Conducts monthly ambulance meetings; Actively pursues funding for equipment and applies for applicable grants when necessary; Participates in the development and administration of the budget for the ambulance and operates in a cost-effective manner; Promotes and advances ambulance-community relationships and participates in community affairs as needed
